John and I went to north western Cyprus in October for a week's break.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Anassa Hotel, and only left the hotel once for a full day out to Paphos to the see spectacular Roman mosaics unearthed there.

The Anassa had very photogenic infinity pools that dropped from one down to the other ...

... so that you could float in the pool and gaze out to sea ...

The Roman mosaics at Paphos were stunning!

They were discovered more or less by chance, and cover a huge area near the harbour

They are amongst the biggest and best preserved of all Roman mosaics
